I believe the best homes aren’t built overnight—they’re gathered over time.
Some of my favorite things are fresh bread cooling on the counter, flowers gathered from the garden, old treasures rescued from thrift stores, and conversations around a well-loved kitchen table.
I’m a fourth-generation farm wife, homemaker, gardener, collector of old things, and lifelong student of the skills our grandmothers once considered ordinary.
Over the years I’ve learned that a meaningful home isn’t created through perfection. It’s built through simple rhythms, faithful stewardship, and the pieces we choose to keep, preserve, and pass along.
How Flour Sack Wisdom Began
Flour Sack Wisdom was born from a love of heritage skills and the belief that many of life’s most valuable lessons are in danger of being forgotten.
In a world that constantly encourages faster, newer, and more convenient, I’ve found myself drawn to the opposite.
I’m drawn to sourdough starters passed between friends.
To vintage treasures with stories to tell.
To gardens that change with the seasons.
To recipes scribbled on worn recipe cards.
To faith that remains steady through every season of life.
Flour Sack Wisdom is my place to share those things with you.
